Phoenix Rising CIC was founded by Claire Knight in 2020. Claire was a domestic violence advisor for 10 years and is also a qualified sports coach. She wanted to develop a course based on her knowledge of abuse, and health and movement to help survivors of abuse recover and heal.

She developed the course during lockdown and rolled it out once we were all allowed to meet up in groups, since then we have ran many New beginnings courses successfully and we are going from strength to strength.

We are heavily reliant on funding to run our service and have received grants from National lottery and other funders to keep this valuable service running.

Claire was joined by our lovely directors Fleur and Jean who share in her passion to help others and survivors of abuse, they both come with a vast knowledge and experience in this field and the field of mental health, both with lived experience of their own.

When you become part of our tribe, you will be met and supported by women who have lived experience of abuse, and get what you have been through, you will be met with warm, care and a little bit of fun and a laugh when joining our service.

Your voice is important to us and our Values are important to us.

So come join our tribe at Phoenix Rising CIC.
